I went through my records looking for The Thomas and Esther Lempriere you were interested in and while there are lots of Thomases I have only one with a wife Esther. That Thomas was born in 1821 at St John parish, Jersey and married to Esther Godfrey. They had two children, Eliza Esther and Caroline Ann. His parents were Thomas Lempriere (died 1795) and Ann Dolbel (died 1799). Their children were Ann, Thomas, Elizabeth, Marie Anne, Jeanne and Ann Elizabeth Dolbel. Thomas' parents were Amice Lempriere and Jeanne Dolbel. His great grandparents were Amice Lempriere and Sarah Misson. Then several more generations to the last one I have, Noe and Rauline born 1550 and 1540 respectively.

Do you have access to the Family Search site? It has thousands of Lemprieres on it. Jersey records are well preserved, especially the Lemprieres who were a big family and well-heeled with connections. The family Search site is free with billions of records. If you want to open an account on Family Search just google the words: create and account family search, and the site will come up with easy instructions and you'll be able to get access to all the Lemprieres on Jersey. It's pretty user friendly as well. If you need help flick me an email at dwbell18@gmail.com.

Hope this helps and hope the Thomas and Esther are the ones you are looking for. I recently traced my family back to Thomas and Esther Lempriere in the 1850's. Your information was extremely helpful in looking farther back into the family past.

I've been tracing back the connections and found good evidence to support the ancestry you have laid out. I've hit a dead end and I wondering if you would be willing to share the information that brought you to some conclusions. Specifically, I'm struggling with David Dolbel and Perrotine Esnouf. I have their marriages and children's baptisms. What I can't locate is their parentage. The information on theislandwiki.com has a bit of a hole in the 1650s-1710s.

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again for sharing everything.

ChrisAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04268200405600918474noreply@blogger.com
